Aspiga was set up seven years ago (2005) after Lucy Macnamara visited Kenya on holiday, and fell in love, not only with the country itself, but with their stunning sandals and so many of their other wonderful hand made products.

Lucy now designs an annual collection and has seven suppliers, who are individuals with small work forces (not large factories), giving much-needed jobs to local men and women in their community.

Design influences come mainly from the inspiration Lucy gets from her travels around the country incorporating the wonderful colours and vibrancy, along with harnessing the traditional techniques and skills of the local tribes and work forces.  Our collection is produced with locally sourced leather and beads.

Aspiga sell to over 150 boutiques in the UK and Internationally, including: The Four Seasons Hotels (In the Maldives and Bora Bora), The Cross, Jules B, Fenwicks of Bond Street in the UK, Calypso, Nordstrom & Anthropologie in The USA to name but a few.

We are especially proud that Aspiga, is not only selling some fabulous accessories, but is also helping to fight poverty in Africa through trade.
