Govan Originals’ men’s designer footwear fuses creative design with the craftsmanship of long-established shoemakers.

The last shoemakers in Scotland, Govan unveiled its inaugural collection of handmade shoes to an international audience at Pitti Uomo in January 2013, featuring contemporary styles and unique colour and fabric combinations.

The business is based just outside Glasgow in the shipbuilding district town of Govan that also inspires product detailing, from a patent-pending bow wave heel to the ship’s bell rung in honour of every pair of shoes.

The launch collection was widely acclaimed including on trend and style watchers’ lists. This has been reflected in the business recently joining Chanel, Victoria Beckham, Moschino Thom Brown’s Moncler Gamme Bleu, and designer Christopher Kane as a nominee for the Scottish Fashion Awards.
